Thanks to the generosity of several major donors, Southwestern Medical Foundation was able to provide major financial support to help create theEndowed Program for Scholars in Biomedical Research at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. The goal of the program is to assure a successful beginning of the research careers of an ever-growing cadre of outstanding young investigators at the medical school. The program, which is fully funded from private endowments, provides $600,000 over four years to support the research activities of new assistant professors.

Throughout its history, Southwestern Medical Foundation has provided major financial support to assist with the design and construction of new buildings and facilities at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center as well as, the research conducted within these facilities.
